Paint Shop Pro v7 » Wrap text around a curve
In this tutorial I’ll show you how to write the text along a curve. It is pretty easy actually, but it can look really cool. So I’m going to use this horse picture under, and write along his neck and back.

Use the draw tool
, open the tool options box (click O on your key board if you can’t see it), and set the Type to Freehand line, hook the Create as vector and the Close path boxes, like I’ve done:

In the right toolbar, where the colors are, choose two colors of any kind. It doesn’t matter what you choose, it’ll be deleted when we are done anyway. Just make sure they aren’t empty/transparent, because this won’t work then.

Now, draw a line along the horse’s back. It’s difficult to draw in the beginning but I’ll become easier with some practice. I’ve drawn the line down a bit towards the ground and up, and that is because I don’t want the line to cross itself when I let go of the mouse button. The path closes it self, remember. And it has to close, because we need filling inside the area to do what we want. Also, draw the line you want the text to follow first, and then draw down towards the ground. If you draws up towards the sky, the text you'll write later on, go up side down.

Now, when you have followed around, it’ll look something like this:

Choose the text tool, and click inside the colored area. Write the text and I’ll curve along your line. If it kind of tips over the edge in the beginning of the word, use space in front of your text to push it farther back. Make sure you have chosen Floating, not vector:

Now you have a floating line around your text. So press ctrl + X (cut) on your key board. Then delete, and the vector curve layer will go, then ctrl + L (paste as new layer). Your text should now show up on the picture, and the ugly shape you made previously is gone. Now you can move the text where you want by clicking and dragging it. My picture now looks like this:
