Guest tutorials » Photoshop cutting out a horse
I have found a cute picture that I like. I have pasted it onto photoshop, and have begun deleting the outside of the picture.

This is what I have so far. As you can see, I have begun the process of cutting. I used a hard brush at size 20 for this.

Here, I have outlined the horse with my "Eraser" tool. It is set as "Soft" and size "5". This works the best out of everything I have used. Out line the horse completely.

When you get to the tail, only outline the parts that do not show the background. It is way too hard to outline every single piece.

Once you have outlined the entire horse, you can begin erasing the leftover background. Use a smaller brush in the tight areas where you might mess up the horse. If you erase too much, use the Edit > Undo Tool.

is what I ended up with. We need to smudge the tail! Look at the tutorial below to learn!
