Paint Shop Pro v7 » Add shadow or glow
You can add shadow to the picture by choosing "Effects" on the toolbar, then 3D Effects, and then "Drop Shadow". Choose how big you want the shadow, on witch side of the horse you want it (- is up to the left, + is down to the right). If you choose white as shadow colour, you get the white glow around the horse. Here is an example: I have this picture, that consists of layer 1: the background:
and Layer 2, the horse:
The horse is pasted as a new layer on top of the background:
Then choose Effects > 3D effects > Drop Shadow..:
And this box will show:
My picture now looks like this:
Choose different values depending on how dark you want the shadow to be. If you choose Color: white, or what ever other color you want, you will get a glow around the horse. First, add the shadow with negative offset values, then with positive values (or set the values to 0). The white glow will look like this:
